Rick Ufford-Chase of Presbyterian Peace Fellowship and the former head of the Presbyterian Church (USA) talks about why the faith community is joining with labor to oppose free trade and why he went to prison for the Colombian Free Trade Agreement today in DC. He talks about how he lived near the boarder when NAFTA passed and they promised it would get better. 17 years later it's gotten worse. He also tells of how he was meeting with Colombian Government officials when he got a call that his close friend was murdered in the streets just 2 blocks away. He points out that we can only pass these agreements AFTER we clean the environment and AFTER murder stops! Otherwise we're just promoting bad actors. I'm glad hes willing to come out against free trade JUST BECAUSE ITS FREE TRADE. Visit his website to join the fight and help create a permanent force to fight free trade!
