She says that if the members ratify the agreement(on Dec 7th) then they would consider. "If we had not secured the 737 MAX for here it would have been devastating for Pugent sound. It would meant that we would continued building airplanes just through the current backlog and that [Boeing] would continue searching elsewhere." She points out that the IAM members were huge in delivering other planes and helped fix the problems with Boeing's past failed outsourcing problems. She mentions that their healthcare is above industry standard. Might be a good reason for others in the industry to organize? We talk about how Boeing has outsourced OUTSIDE the US and if they brought it back they could easily fill the South Carolina plant.
She points out that Boeing came to THEM and it's important for the public to remember that it wasn't that Boeing moved its that what they did was ILLEGAL. The law isn't new. And the law is not broken. Boeing broke the law.
