She asks what happens when a prisoner doesn't get treated and after being released they go back and become your neighbor- what if they got a disease? Do you want them being checked by a nurse. She gives credit to the officers in the prison for helping them get through their day. The biggest issue is job cuts. She understands that right now they ARE the watchdogs because there's already a lot of jobs privatized in prison. She mentions that one of the private facilities in PA is *EIGHT*(read that: 8) months behind on tuberculous. She mentions that they get extra training on working inside a prison - will this happen if a profiteer is filling these jobs? She mentions that the doctors who are for profit ARE NOT held up to these same standards. We talk about how this has been done in other states AND FAILED. I'm sure our friends at the tinky tanks aren't concerned with those facts. Tell the PA legislature not to privatize Marcie's job.
