The Rick Smith Show with members of the Chocolate Workers Union joined the workers at Philadelphia Mixing Solutions to show their support for the fourteen locked out workers. It was a bitter cold day for picketers but the bonds of solidarity are strong than a little cold whether as volunteers came out to walk the line. When it was time to go home, Samantha Smith, 5, the daughter of The Rick Smith Show host said, “I want to stay and until they get go back to work.” The day was a success but there is much to be done to help these fourteen dedicated hardworking members of the Machinists union win a decent contract. The least senior member has 28 years of service with Philadelphia Mixing Solutions. SO much for rewarding loyalty for dedication and years of hard work.
