Rick Smith Show About
Don LeVasseur
Don grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, the oldest of seven children, in a working class family. He moved to Lancaster County in 1988 to start and raise a family. He learned his work ethic early and realized the importance of a good education.
It was not until after the November 2004 election that Don became politically active. It was one essay in particular he wrote called “A Mandate?” in response to the president’s acceptance speech that started his involvement. Since then he has been elected as the Chair of Democracy for Lancaster and is a Fellow at the Center for Progressive Leadership.
As part of the Rick Smith Show, Don is continuing to deliver the progressive message and advocate the importance of this rising movement.
“Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.” Thomas Jefferson
