Bob Master, CWA Region 1 from the Verizon March

Bob talks about how the company is still intent on destroying middle class jobs. Verizon workers and occupiers are marching 150 miles from Albany to Occupy Wall Street to help build awareness about how they THOUGHT the company was ready to bargain after the workers saved it from unknown amounts by going back to work. It doesn't seem like Verizon is interested in bargaining so we need to stand in solidarity and fight back against them AGAIN. He talks about how "there's a shift going on" and people are really understanding"its not worker against worker. its the big bankers and wall street who are screwing them." We agree that Verizon is the 1% and we need to make sure they stop screwing the 99%. He also mentions how great it is to be going into SMALL towns and being greated. |
